Griffin Sports: Ayom Majok Officially Joins Persita Tangerang
21.12.2024Griffin Sports is very proud to announce Ayom Majok’s transfer to Persita Tangerang.
Persita officially brought in South Sudanese forward Ayom Majok in the 2024/25 BRI Liga 1 mid-season transfer window.
The 21-year-old arrives after playing for Australian (A-League) club Brisbane Roar last season. With Brisbane Roar, Ayom played 16 matches and scored one goal.
“I am very enthusiastic to be at Persita and can’t wait to play in front of Persita fans,” said Ayom.
“I always wanted to try new challenges and when I got the offer from Persita it was an easy decision for me. And I also have friends who have played in Indonesia such as Ajak Riak and Elvis Kamsoba who both played for PSS Sleman last season,” Ayom continued.
Born in Juba, Sudan, Ayom moved to Australia with his parents as a child. He began his football career with West Adelaide’s junior team. He later joined Adelaide United and Cumberland United, where he earned his first-team opportunities, scoring nine goals in 21 games.
In December 2020, Ayom joined professional A-League Men’s club Western United on a two-year scholarship deal. He then moved to Adelaide City in April 2022.
After his contribution in bringing the championship title in NPL South Australia, Brisbane Roar offered him a contract.
He made his senior debut for Brisbane Roar as a 78th-minute substitute, replacing Joseph Knowles, in a 0–0 draw against Melbourne City.
“I like scoring goals and showing my technique. I can’t wait to contribute to Persita this season,” he said.
“I want to help this team and hope that at the end of the season together we can achieve success and bring happiness to the supporters.”
